Senior Portrait

Senior year arrives quietly and then all at once.

One moment you are watching them learn to walk. The next you are watching them cross a stage.

A senior portrait session with Templin Photography is not about a backdrop and a cap and gown. It is about capturing who your senior is right now: before college, before careers, before the version of themselves the world has not yet met.

We photograph the things they love. The places that matter. The expressions that belong only to this season of their life.

That is what you will want to hold onto twenty years from now.

Experience

Eighteen years of becoming someone.

This is how you remember exactly who that was.

Every senior session begins with a conversation about your senior. What do they love, where do they feel most themselves, what this chapter of their life has looked like.

From there, we build the session around them.

Some sessions happen on location. That can be a favorite trail, a downtown street, a place that has meaning. Others happen in studio, with light and simplicity doing the work. Many include both.

We move at their pace. We are not watching for the perfect pose. We are watching for the moment they forget the camera is there.

That is the image worth keeping.

to Expect

What

Every senior session includes your photographer's time and creative direction, and delivers a private online gallery of approximately 20 edited images.

We also include a headshot formatted to meet your school's yearbook submission guidelines. The portrait that lives in the yearbook is consistent with the quality of everything else we create together.

Digital files and fine art prints are available. We will help you select the images that deserve to be on your wall and the ones worth sharing.

Sessions begin at $525.

WHAT You

Working with Pete and Alison for my senior portraits was such an amazing experience from start to finish. They made me feel completely comfortable and confident, and their creativity and attention to detail truly brought out the best in every shot. I couldn't be happier with my photos and I highly recommend Templin Photography to anyone looking for an unforgettable senior portrait experience!

We would love to help you hold onto it.

This season will not come again.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

Your school has deadlines for the yearbook. A full senior sessions can happen at anytime with a headshot session done separately in the studio to meet the yearbook deadline. Many families prefer a late summer / early fall session while others prefer early spring. Having the images in time for graduation announcements is usually the driver. Often a senior wants to have their cap, gown and tassel before the session.

What Should My Senior wear?

We recommend starting with outfits that reflect who they actually are, not what they think a senior photo should look like. Bring three or four options and we will help choose what works best in the environment we are shooting. We're always happy to do phone/zoom consultations about clothing choices in advance of the session time also.

How long is a senior portrait session?

Sessions typically run one to two hours depending on locations and outfit changes. We move at your senior's pace. We do not rush a session.

Where is the Studio Located?

We are located at 15715 Main St NE Suite 202 in downtown Duvall, WA. It is approximately 20 minutes east of Redmond and Woodinville and south of Monroe.

Do You include yearbook photos?

Yes, every senior session includes a headshot formatted to meet your school's yearbook submission guidelines and deadline,

What if I need to cancel my session?

Sessions are non-refundable but you are welcome to transfer your session to someone else.

As a parents, we know all too well how quickly our little ones grow up. In the blink of an eye, our “babies” are out of their crib and catching the school bus. The only thing more precious than your family’s memories are the photographs that will stand the test of time. Let’s tell your story, together.
